↪   World First Aid Day The Erode College of Pharmacy, Erode organized a "World First Aid Day" Awareness Program on 19.09.2024 at 03:00 pm. Ms. P. Anu Princy, Assistant Professor, gave the welcome address. Dr. R. Sambathkumar, Principal, and Dr. V.S. Saravanan, Vice-Principal, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, delivered key note address on the First Aid and Importance of 108 Ambulance. ↪   One Day Indo-Arab Workshop on Clinical Pharmacy: "Exploring the Role of Clinical Pharmacists in the Era of Modern Medicine "The Erode College of Pharmacy recently had the privilege of hosting the One Day Indo-Arab Workshop on Clinical Pharmacy on 25.07.2024, themed "Exploring the Role of Clinical Pharmacists in the Era of Modern Medicine." Organized by the Department of Pharmacy Practice, the workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various years, including 1st to 5th year Pharm.D students and 2nd year D.Pharm students. The highlight of the event was an interactive session led by Dr. Noohu Abdulla Khan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Noohu Abdulla Khan's expertise and insights provided invaluable knowledge to the attendees, emphasizing the evolving and critical role of clinical pharmacists in modern healthcare. Throughout the day, the workshop featured a series of enlightening sessions that addressed various aspects of clinical pharmacy. Dr. Noohu Abdulla Khan elaborated on the integration of clinical pharmacists in patient care, medication therapy management, and the importance of their contributions in enhancing healthcare outcomes. His presentations underscored the dynamic nature of the profession and the need for continuous learning and adaptation in this field. The interactive session allowed students to engage directly with Dr. Noohu Abdulla Khan, posing questions and discussing practical scenarios. This hands-on approach fostered a deeper understanding of clinical pharmacy practices and encouraged students to actively participate in the discourse. The exchange of ideas and experiences enriched the learning experience, providing a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities in the profession. The workshop was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. ↪   On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, we conducted a program on 26.07.2024 to honor the brave martyrs for their valor, sacrifice, and selfless service to our nation. Thiru A. Nataraajan, Secretary and Correspondent, commemorated the courageous soldiers who defended our nation's sovereignty during the Kargil War by lighting a candle. The tribute was further extended by Dr. R. Sambathkumar, Principal; Dr. V. S. Saravanan, Vice-Principal; Dr. D. Krishnakumar, Professor & Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice; and Mr. S. Muthukumar, Administrative Officer, all of whom paid their respects to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Mr. M. ↪   The Erode College of Pharmacy, Erode organized a "World Youth Skills Day" Awareness Program on 15.07.2024 at 12:00 pm. Mrs. T. Arokkiya Angel, Assistant Professor, gave the welcome address. ↪   On observance of World Hypertension Day 2024, The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai and The Erode College of Pharmacy, Erode set up a Camp on ‘Blood Pressure Screening for All' on June 11, 2024 from 10 a.m. in the College Campus. Organized by Department of Pharmacy Practice and NSS. During the Camp the Pharm.D fourth year students participated as volunteers for screening and data entering. ↪   On May 15, 2024, Mr. Navinderan, the station fire officer from Perundurai, Erode, along with his team members, conducted a fire safety awareness program at The Erode College of Pharmacy, Erode. The program aimed to educate students and staff about fire safety measures. Through lectures and live demonstrations, Mr. Navinderan highlighted the various types of fires and demonstrated different methods to handle fire accidents in emergency situations. ↪   Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) - Tamil Nadu State Branch and The Erode College of Pharmacy Jointly Organized the 2nd APTI National level Seminar and Award Ceremony. The second state-level seminar and award ceremony organized jointly by the Indian Pharmacy Teachers Association (Tamil Nadu Chapter) and The Erode College of Pharmacy took place at the auditorium of The Erode College of Pharmacy, Veppampalayam, Erode. The theme of the event was “Transformative Advances in Pharmaceutical Education: Elevating Skills and Embracing Innovation for Research Revolution". The second state-level seminar and APTI annual award ceremony, held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 9:30 a.m, the welcome address delivered by Dr. R. Sambathkumar, Secretary, APTI TN-Branch & Principal, The Erode College of Pharmacy, Erode, followed by Presidential address delivered by Dr. V. Shankar, President, APTI-TN Branch & Vice-Principal, PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore, The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. M.P.
